CannBus connects licensed cannabis businesses across North America with the tools, data, and networks they need to grow. We're looking for people who want to build something meaningful at the intersection of technology, compliance, and an industry that's reshaping the economy.
The cannabis industry is one of the fastest-moving, most complex, and most consequential emerging markets in North America. Regulations shift, markets open, and businesses are building from the ground up. CannBus sits at the centre of it all — and we need talented people to help us serve the industry.
We're a small, focused team building B2B tools, publishing authoritative market intelligence, and maintaining a platform trusted by licensed cannabis operators from California to Ontario. If you want your work to matter — to real businesses, in a real industry — this is where you belong.
"We're not just building software. We're building the infrastructure the cannabis industry deserves."
Every person at CannBus has direct impact. We are a lean, senior team — no layers of bureaucracy, no endless approval chains. You'll ship work that real cannabis businesses use every day.
We hire for impact, not headcount. Browse current openings below — and if you don't see the right fit, send an open application.
We're looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to own and evolve the core CannBus platform — from the member-facing business directory and product catalog tools to the backend infrastructure that powers our publications and lead generation engine. You'll work directly with the founding team, move fast, and have high ownership over the systems you build.
Applications reviewed on a rolling basis. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
You'll be responsible for the look, feel, and usability of the CannBus member platform. From the business profile builder to the product catalog interface to our law summary pages — everything members see and interact with on the web runs through you. We care deeply about design quality and accessibility.
Applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
CannBus publishes market intelligence on the cannabis industry — and we want the data behind it to be world-class. You'll build and maintain the data pipelines that power our market reports, supplier analytics, law change tracking, and the intelligence layer underneath the B2B platform.
Applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
CannBus's law library and regulatory intelligence is one of our most-valued products. You'll be the person responsible for keeping it accurate, current, and genuinely useful for cannabis business operators — turning complex regulatory changes into clear, actionable summaries that businesses can actually use.
Applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
We're looking for experienced cannabis industry writers to contribute to our market reports, sector analyses, and state-level cannabis intelligence publications. This is a contract/project-based role ideal for freelance writers, journalists, or analysts who already know the cannabis space well.
Include samples of published cannabis or regulated-industry writing in your application.
We're growing our member base and need a senior B2B sales professional who understands how to sell to cannabis businesses — manufacturers, distributors, MSOs, and service providers. You'll own the full sales cycle, from outbound prospecting to closing membership contracts and publication partnerships.
Applications reviewed on a rolling basis. Please include a brief note on your cannabis industry experience.
New members get the most from CannBus when they're well-set-up from day one. You'll own the onboarding experience — guiding new cannabis businesses through profile creation, catalog setup, and their first leads — and then stay with them through their membership journey to maximise value and retention.
Applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
CannBus operates in a regulated industry — and our internal operations need to reflect that. You'll keep member verification workflows running smoothly, coordinate with our legal counsel on platform compliance matters, and manage the day-to-day operational infrastructure that keeps the business running well.
Applications reviewed on a rolling basis.

Our team reviews every application personally. No automated rejections. You'll hear back within 5 business days.
30-minute video call with a member of the team — a two-way conversation about the role, your experience, and our platform.
A focused, paid take-home task or live working session (90 min max). We design tasks that reflect real work — no trick puzzles.
Meet 2–3 members of the team. We'll discuss your assessment, alignment with our values, and mutual expectations.
We make decisions fast. You'll receive a written offer within 48 hours of your final interview if we're moving forward.
We're not building a culture document — we're building a team. These are the things we genuinely believe in.
Every person at CannBus owns outcomes, not tasks. We don't micromanage and we don't create unnecessary process. If something needs doing and it's yours to do, you do it.
We're a remote team. Clear, direct written communication is not a nice-to-have — it's how we work. We write to think, to decide, and to keep each other aligned without endless meetings.
We take the cannabis industry seriously. The businesses we serve are licensed, legitimate, and working hard in a complex regulatory environment. Our work should reflect that seriousness.
We move fast but we don't ship garbage. When something goes out under the CannBus name — a feature, a report, a law summary — it should be something we're proud of.
We hire for talent and fit as much as we hire for a specific opening. If you believe in what we're building and think you'd be a strong addition to the team — in any capacity — we'd love to hear from you. Send us an open application and tell us how you'd contribute.
